Dream Eaters

Dream Eaters

A Poem by KissByMoonlight
"

They are the dark, the unseen, the shadows... they lurk and cower, seemingly helpless when in reality, they are stronger than us.

"
I watched the shadows creep
Guided by moonlight to the door
To steal your precious dreams forevermore.

From the clouds to the coast
To the never-ending green
We all mourn the loss of precious little dreams.

The bluebird has lost its song,
The ocean is no longer calm,
A little bit of darkness,
A night made for the truly heartless,
So lost in the soft melody of things unseen.
Watching lives fall apart at the seams.

The tainted music caresses our sleeping ears
Under the guise not of smiles, but tears.
The stars do not shine as bright
Above the tender harmony of this deceitful night.
