What does she hold

What does she hold

A Poem by Just Shlomo

What does she hold
Is it some holy light or is it simply kindness
She is unknowingly holding a key
A key that I am afraid to tell her, is her hand
She has unknowingly become part of my daily thoughts
Thoughts that I am afraid to tell her she is part of
She is the savior and destroyer of my mind
Making me question every thought and action
Is she so pure as she seems
Like the fresh fallen snow covering the meadow
Is her purity truly her her or is it the result of sheltering
Like a blind child who has never seen evil
Is she as kind as I think or am I being led on
Like a lamb being lead to the knife
