Deep Breath

Deep Breath

A Poem by Just Plain Me

Deep breath,
   now let it go.
You're strong enough for this,
   now let it show.

You fought for so long,
but this fight you just can't win.
It's time to throw in the towel,
   let your new life begin.

You know it won't be easy.
   you never thought otherwise.
you have to hold your head high,
look for the silver lining in grey skies.

You have your insecurities to bear,
   there's been nights you've cried.
You earned each of your scars,
wear each of them with pride.

Take a deep breath,
and let it out one last time.
You know you're the bigger person,
   now you get to shine.

Not your best? I find it just as amazing as the last one that I read. It is gorgeous. I love your writing style and the way that your words flow. It seems almost as if th words come easliy, which is good. It seems to me, and this does not come as a surprise, that you have great talent.
