This Silly Little ThingA Poem by Just Plain MeBleh
How can this be so mind consuming?
So heart consuming? So soul consuming? To someone who thought they lost the capability to feel? It's like coming home after a day of rain, it washes away all sorrow and pain. It makes you want to be in their arms forever more, it can rock you to your very core. It's finally feeling like you're whole, it's finding the missing piece to your broken soul. How can it be so easy to smile? How is it so easy to laugh? How can it turn a grey day bright? How does it give a cold heart warmth? It's getting mad and hating the one you adore, it's wondering what else could possibly be in store. It's your stomach tying it's self up in knots, it's letter's stained with tear spots. It's blaming the same person you want to hold for your tears, it's having all new, terrifying fears. How can someone make you feel complete? How does it make you feel like you truly do matter? How does it make you feel your heart is whole? How can you be so fearless but scared all at once? It's taking a leap of faith on hope, it's clinging to happiness by a fragile rope. It's trusting to be caught when you fall, it's giving that special someone your all. It's this silly little thing called love, and believe it or not...it's sent from above. © 2010 Just Plain Me
