I'll Stay Strong

I'll Stay Strong

A Poem by Just Plain Me

I don't let them see the tears I want to let fall,
I couldn't do that to them all.
I wouldn 't want them to hear all of my fears,
I wouldn't want them to fall on deaf ears.

So I'll stay strong,
No matter how much it hurts.
I wouldn't want them to feel any guilt,
because they've done no wrong.

I'll cry on the inside and keep my smile in place,
only good emotions will be allowed on my face.
I'll try to control what my eyes might reveal,
because it'd hurt them all to know what I actually feel.

So I'll stay strong,
No matter how much it hurts.
I wouldn't want them to feel any guilt,
because they've done no wrong.

I'm going to laugh and be happy if it kills me,
and I'll make sure no one sees my trickery.
I'll never let people know that I'm scared,
they'll never know more than what I want shared.

So I'll stay strong,
No matter how much it hurts.
I wouldn't want them to feel any guilt,
because they've done no wrong.

Yes! Staying strong is all one can do! But this is also a very powerful emotional write here. I like how you express yourself. Very poetic with an amazing flow.
