Ladies and Gentlemen!

Ladies and Gentlemen!

A Poem by Just Plain Me
"

I wrote this on the way home from the beach two months ago...I'm just getting the chance to post it.

"

Ladies and Gentlemen one and all!
Just go straight down this hall!
Her jaw will be set with her defiance as she goes on stage!
And you can witness her pride being put in a cage!

No one sees anything but the persona of a beast,
an anger filled chit, at the very least.
So I’ll play my role just like every other day,
performing my act just to get it out of the way.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Girls and Boys!
This is not one of the world famous ploys!
Her eyes flashing with intelligence and pride!
And you can observe her cower and hide!

No one knows of the promise I made to my soul,
a promise I made with all of my .whole
So I’ll act this act, in the lime…
performing my act for the very last time.

Ladies and Gentlemen, even the Holy God!
Gaze upon this useless shod!
Her heart, in this, is of no use!
And you’ll know when her anger is let loose!

The stage curtains part and the crowd all gasp,
The sight holding them in its grisly grasp…
for where they thought would be this broken child…
Was a dead young women, horribly defiled.

This was such a interesting write, like a performance in itself a little typo in the beggining, but that happens I am not a grammer cop, I just like something when it is creative and real and this is.

WOW...wasn't expecting it to end like that. But I love the twist at the end. You really captured my attention from the beginning to the end and I love the imagery. I could picture this poem perfectly. Very well written and great poem! :)
