The Rose That Grew (Response to Tupac's Original)

This poem is my twist on an additional stanza to Tupac's original "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" poem. It flows really well if you familiarize yourself with Pac's first before reading.

The Rose That Grew

Ask me how a rose so deeply rooted in beauty

Could sprout, but be seen with disposition of disappointment

As it grows into a flower through concrete

Appreciate that flower and all its ugly petals

Sit back, marvel at it's strength through struggle

And look to the heavens and just say thank you
