My Dearest Son,

 

Follow God! Follow God! Follow God!

 

You have already heard this from me numerous times

And will continue to hear this your entire life

You are grown now and I wrote this before you were even thought of

I am writing this at a time where, me, even your dad, is finding it hard to follow

 

Life is going to throw so many things at you

And the crazy part is, you won't realize it until you finally choose to follow God

In all things that you do, acknowledge HIM and it will always work out

HE will always give you exactly what HE has planned for you

 

Before you were even on this Earth, your father battled many demons but came out unscathed

And so will you, you'll see

I can't wait to teach and show you what I've learned

It's crazy to think this but I'm only 26 right now

But have been around the world, seeing the world as it is

I can truly and honestly say, that the world is going to be exactly what you want it to be

Never let anything hold you back from your dreams, not even me!

 

This life has so much to offer to a black man and so many struggles

But you and I were built for just that, so keep fighting

Chambers men are fighters, just look at your grandad!

 

Don't take yourself so serious

Give yourself time to grow spiritually, personally and most importantly slow down!

Take time to appreciate the little things

Because when you get to where I am, you truly will.
