Empty GlassA Poem by JustZoA ToastEmpty Glass
I feel at times as empty as the glass I drink from. Anticipating the very bottom as if it will somehow refill itself. I wait impatiently taking and taking as if it has no end or bottom. When I get to the end, I wish I had savored every last drop more than to just take big sips
We do the same thing when we take things in our life for granite We take and hold tight to how they make us feel and dont appreciate "it" Till "it" is all gone. That "it" may be a wife, husband, child, love one, or life Most of all these "its" that are most detrimental is life We take life for granite as if we will have a second chance at it
It's hard to fathom that every second of everyday is truly "One of a kind" You will never get to redo that second for your entire life That one second gets archived into history at that very moment in time- "Life's Museum" Just like a museum, you can look at it on display but never in its current state
So lets toast to Life's Museum, that we may never take any moment, second, day, year or life for granite! Now drink n***a drink! © 2014 JustZoReviews
