pigeonhole

pigeonhole

A Poem by Tricia O'Brien

A tailspin of unanswered questions

The torture of not knowing

The indirect responses that kill

Countless days wasted and forever gone

Insides torn apart that’ll never fit properly again

Eyes frozen in sadness

Tears that can’t even fall anymore

A bludgeoned heart with a fading pulse

Abuse made acceptable

Silence that overpowers the noise

Trapped in past failures

Reminded repeatedly of mistakes made

Disabling ones foundation and stunting one from growth

A direct result from allowing other peoples darkness overtake your inner light
