collapsing

collapsing

A Poem by Tricia O'Brien

An aching that lives in the depths of ones soul

A pain so riveting it paralyzes

Loneliness that exceeds any reckoning

A living death with no closure possible

Colliding nightmares that never sleep

Light suffocated by the dark truth

A solid ground turned fragile

Lies that engulf and smother any security

Tears unseen and cries unheard

Fear that’s only fueled

A heart that no longer desires to beat

Agony bleeds out no comfort to be found

With all the nothing left, she trys to love still, in-spite of this

Alone in her echoing thoughts

"Colliding nightmares that never sleep"
What a remarkable piece of work here. I'm in love with the language in which you have penned this piece.
I could really feel your emotion and despair spilled out on the page.
Wonderful work. Keep up the good work.
