Unknown

Unknown

A Poem by Tricia O'Brien

She holds her composure
She masks her inner pain
She hides her scars
She covers up her fears
She shows up for others and falls short when it comes to herself
She leads with her heart so when she falls short she feels it at full force and when others fail her, she's crushed
She pretends all is fine
She puts more effort in hiding than living
She worries constantly and prays relentlessly
She isn't "she" at all. She is but a fleeting character in a story unknown.

Sometimes we are so far removed from ourselves we are, indeed, unknown. A good write; thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your time and feedback!
Appreciated for sure :)
This is spectacular! I find myself relating to it covering up all my pain to others making everything seem like it's alright when it's really not. Again spectacular!
