HonestA Poem by Tricia O'BrienYoung Recovery
She's brutally honest
To the point where you'd rather false truths She'll rip this apart just to see and understand why and how She'll make an attempt to replace, fix and put back together No piece will lay the same It will hold a new shape and with that brings new meaning This excites her, a new, it's new, she's created it She'll expect you to understand She'll explain, well, but only once She feels like no explanation is really needed so when the time comes when she must, she's already moved past mentally and most importantly emotionally and will give little effort to the one before her She believes that if you don't see it for what it is or genuinely comprehend, than your just another momentary lapse in her journey She's grateful for this though, another story, another something to think about down the road, but she'll drop the weight attached to it for she has no room to carry it further She does not speak in code, she does not expect one to read her mind, she does not leave mystery, or not enough to warrant such lost communication She's brutally honest Good, bad and indifferent She's always wondered if one would actually want this, and not just say so, but really truly crave truth She has yet to come in contact with that...
