A Poem by Tricia O'Brien
"

Young Recovery

"
She thinks of him always
She remembers the urge to just scream out in excitement
She was trapped for seven months, now freed
She now sits feet away from the one thing she's waited a lifetime for
She remembers the squishy feeling deep inside her belly when she'd hear his voice
A yearning like nothing else
A picture they make
A match they are
She would dream of him
Now, she dreams with him
He holds her in his strong lived arms
He see's inside of her and past the obvious
No one has ever had this view or opportunity
He has more than he'll ever know
She makes sure of this
She's letting go
Letting go of the yesterday's, names and places
She is breaking out of those deadly strings that have been dangling around her throat for years
She thinks of him always
She screams out in excitement now
She no longer has to wait, other than for the rest of they're life
This, she looks forward to
