Not TodayA Poem by Tricia O'BrienYoung Recovery
She just wants to know
She just needs to understand She just craves to feel She just prays to see She just asks for truth She begs for him to say it's okay She cries for him to just hold her She sleeps for days in hopes to wake new She misses him but will never tell Her pain runs deeper than he knows His hand is warm and kind It warms her cold She wonders when it will end She didn't even see it begin He stands so still and strong She shakes and feels uneasy One day she says, one day Just not today
