Shhh

Shhh

A Poem by Tricia O'Brien
"

Young Recovery

"
She can't understand why it still hurts so badly
She searches for answers, guidance and direction
She's nervous and worries day in and day out
Nothing is fitting
She feels zero security and her fears grow with little effort
Validation comes from being disregarded so easily
She cries out and is ignored
Everything is minimized
They don't want to face any of it
Her screams are muffled
Suffocated by everything around her
She is surrounded by utter insanity and it's polluting what sanity she has gained
She prays for strength and hopes for peace
Not for her, but for everyone else
