OkayA Poem by Tricia O'BrienYoung Recovery
She sits and wonders
She gazes at the open never ending sky She feels it for the first time She's prayed for the day to be able to say goodbye It's finally arrived Packaged up so lovely and neat She says hello to that new unknown beauty Life has never tasted this clean and pure Fresh air she embraces with everything she has On the way over she knew that it was time No questions live here any longer She has been given what's needed A love lost and a life gained What a gift, she knows this How simple it is to just BE A coin floats around within her pocket Warmth she waited years to experience Alive she is And she's okay
