Unexpected Encounter

Unexpected Encounter

A Poem by Just Simple Sounds

-I never saw it coming, so far away but so close in mind and spirit
-The perfect woman, an unexpected encounter
-I don't understand it but prayers always seem to get answered at just the right moments
-Please, feel free to stop me at any time
-Time is just something that takes too long, and distance tends to make things seem too wrong
-But love knows no bounds, telling time to slow down and distance to come back around
-And as the moon pulls the tide, your heart does mine
-Can you ... Can you teach love? Or is that something learned by ones self?
-Please, feel free to stop me at any time
-You're the reason for my new found joy, like a newborn with its favorite toy, I'll keep a tight grip
-So that when one of us slips, we fall then trampoline ... together
-I've never been the best at being verbally expressive so paper became my best friend
-Not too good when it comes to writing letters so poetry is where I'd rather try my hand
-Please, feel free to stop me at any time
-The difficulty behind this, I don't believe you fully understand ...
-Trying to word things the best way I can and put together a puzzle with pieces new to my hands
-Feelings, emotions, and thoughts of you are all things I fail to comprehend
-My heart sounds like continuous backfire or, the thunderous clapping of an audiences' hands
-Please, feel free to stop me at any time
-We had an unexpected encounter, but I hope we can outlast the calendar
