My Poetry is horrible,

positively borable,

simply deplorable. 

I need to stop,

I can't make it to the top.

My tears are staining

my keyboard keys,

Please hear my screamed pleas:

destroy my writing plans.

Burn my notebooks

and break my pens.

Your writing is your inner voice. No matter if is real poetry or not. Your mother don't tell you what you can improve. Don't listen to advice where is not strong message what you can do better. When you will continute writing every day. You will realize how your writing can be strong. I read some of your poetry and I think you got very strong style. Don't stop writing you are on the good way.

You don't have to be nervous about your poetry. Here on this site is nobody perfect . Keep writing and if you wanna get better. Maybe try find some local writing group in you area. Also try read old poets 18 , 19 century there is lot of wisdom and creativity. Also what can help is open discussion about poetry , if you have some friend who like poetry. That's can help you. You can also try sending your poems into magazines. You will see how they response. They are ussually very honest.On web sites like this you don't ussualy get honest reviews. So don't stop writing and keep next come in. I will review more next week have nice Thursday.

So kind of an explanation for this. My mum asked to read some of my poetry and I let her see my Dancer poem and she told me "You'll never get anywhere with this s**t." Normally my mum is very helpful and kind about my writing so it came as a pretty big shock.
