adventure

today i will go on an adventure.

today i will go on an adventure to see all that is to be seen

in the very depths of my heart

and in the lowest craters of my soul

because there is much to be seen.

i will set sail and navigate the seas of my mind

i will stumble through the lush jungles of my insecurities

but i will eventually make it back home

to my quiet little house in my hometown where i am happy and safe.

but while i'm out and about, i will experience what there is

and i will be exhilarated and i will love every second of it

and nobody can stop me from getting in that vessel and making the most of it

because although it may be dangerous it needs done.

compasses and maps aren't needed

i've got to go on this journey and find my way myself

because you've got to go deep inside yourself sometimes

to find yourself, deep in those shady thickets and tropical proverbial rainforests.
