Sitting in the back parking lot of a car place

A Poem by Jordan Varner

I've never been to this place
The ground is wet but it's not raining anymore
There's a green pickup truck
Grateful Dead license plate
I'm listening to acoustic indie music
Guess that makes me some kinda hipster
Cars are driving by, all at their own pace
When is my dad gonna get back
Sitting in my mom's truck
Alone
Orange tea and the lingering scent of Cheetos
Why so much orange?
It is my favorite color
Does this count as poetry?
I'm just listing what I see
Poetry is beauty
It's a nice day
