Blackbird's Requiem

Blackbird's Requiem

A Poem by Jordan Varner
"

Just a short poem I wrote.

"
He flew away, wings eastward bent
Across the autumn sky.
And soon he came upon the sun,
He let out an eerie cry.
The sun had burnt his feathered face,
And set fire to his eyes.
Now he flies only at night,
Blinded to his ties.
