Stories of Yin & Yang

Stories of Yin & Yang

A Poem by Jordan Varner
"

Just a comment on the state of the world and on the state of humanity.

"
Act I. Ice & Flame
The Winter's frost blows,
So cold and blackening,
And It burns my heart, my soul.
I know that this kind of beauty,
Out here, in the snow,
Is only temporary.
For underneath all the beauty
Of frost and ice
Lays a dark intention.
Act II. Saints & Sinners
I see people,
People all around,
People of all colors.
People of all ages.
Many of them cannot see me,
In this fast-paced land of false excellency.
I am but a sinner,
In a so-called saint's world.
Yin and Yang have been muddied and now lie together,
Mixed, and intruding in places they do not belong,
Black and white blend to create the gray world in which we dwell,
And peace and violence seem to have the same definition.
Do you not see?
Do you not hear?
Do you not care?
Hear no Evil, Speak no evil, See no evil...
