Who We've BecomeA Poem by AnnaThis is a really rough draft, I watched a movie that sent me over the edge. And that is the result of this angry rant.Tears stream down my face I imagine the cruelty Fallen to the innocence I break down, my knees shaking I can't withhold in the pain It is a constant struggle A battle to rule, A strife to be number one, the poor people on this planet That fall... sullen. We fight a battle that isn't ours, And lose a war we never claimed. This is no fair fight, But an anguishing fear, that punishes the helpless. Our minds are cattle, As are souls are hungry We claim ourselves moral, But live in constant turmoil. What is humanity, If there is no self-dignity. Where do we lead ourselves, Other than the pits of Hell. We don't know what we've become. © 2013 AnnaAuthor's Note
