I Am Blue

I Am Blue

A Poem by Anna
"

A silly poem, really cliché, not too serious.

"

I Am Blue

I am blue,

The rain drips slowly, silently, down my broken glass

As the waves crash viciously on our abandoned beach,

Blueberries turn sour, Time passes the hour,

And all I can think is I am blue.

Forget-me-knots; Forget me now,

Wilt and wither,

As I watch how,

The flakes are destroyed,

From a snow plow.

And all I can think is I am blue.

The sky is darkened,

the wind thrashes my face,

I trip and falter,

There's nothing to chase.

And all I can think is I am blue.

I miss you,

like grass missing dew,

When I was me, and you were you.

And together we were never blue.

And all I can think is,

I am blue without you.

This is a lovely representation of the color blue in all forms of meaning, whether abstract or tangible. Forget-me-nots are truly wonderful flowers in their bright blue forms. I have seen them since I ae to study them as a biologist. Ending the poem in romance is quite a good catch to the attention of the reader though a loss has been observed here. Wonderful poem!

Thank you :)
colors can mean so many things. Like blue. Or like red. Red can mean action, blood, desire, love. But in no way is red calm. Blue however, is almost always calm. It's the ocean, the rain, the snow, sadness, calming. Colors can mean many things, and you captured all of blue in this poem. Congratulations! 100/100

loved the imagery. you did a very good job of creating a picture. Your use of the color blue the fixation somehow it really sets a mood and causes the rest of the poem to flow this was very well done well written

I completely agree with the fact that colors are wonderful things. My new watch is yellow and my broken one is lime green. There are so many things better then color but colors represent a lot of things. Emotions, a desire for a brighter world. Colors hold a mystery that is undeniable. Nicely penned!
Best regards,
