A message to all people doubting themselves

Stay True

I’ve been changed by you

I fall in grace to the thoughts that you brew

Your voice spoken, embrace to my worried days,

I flush in happiness, softness of your ways

 

When your soft words trail through my frazzled mind

 My hopes sift and swirl, I melt, I unwind

Charitable, charming, my love for you soars

The softhearted lyrics, warm me to the core,

Crashing waves, on the sand shore.

All is fair, in sweet love and cold war.

 

You would walk across the ocean, and swim through the sky

To never allow a parting, goodbye,

I’ve relied on no one, because nothing was there,

Until you’ve whispered the words of love and care,

 

It’s a feeling found, when I’m sky high in hope,

I realize there’s more to everyone than the first scope.

My fear of breaking, is invisible in the presence of you

I no longer worry of failing to stay true.

My goodness!! What a gorgeous poem!! Both in the serious/sensual part of how beautiful emotions sound when they are written like..... like this, and in regards to switching the rhythm and scenes that you paint so lovingly. That first stanza took me by a bit of a surprise!! That last line "ALL your lines are awesome!!" set the speed and reassured me I was about to read something I have already committed to, and it is going to be something I remember. Maybe after the word "happiness" you could put a " ; " semi-colon? Is it strange to read a poem and imagine your place within the poem? This beautiful poem of yours made me wonder what people do with MY poems when they are needing a place to find comfort or an understanding that they are like how we ALL are.... in need of a hug or friend that will listen or see themselves through the very poem that was written for them to enjoy. This is so different to me, this poem, from your other poems. You pack a whole Heck of a lot of inspiration and exploring confidence with the tools of responsibility and love for oneself and the connection we make with strangers "future friends"!!
