My DreamA Poem by AnnaA poem of inspirationMy Dream I’m going to fight on, with my heart set strong, I won’t crumble, I won’t fall apart, You’ve shown me the light, a constant burning spark I will let go, finally breathe and clear my heart. I’ve only got to ignore the pain and the hate, Because the world we’ve dreamed to create Just sits and waits for us to tear and to break. I’m a dreamer whose dreams were taint, But I will, no longer be put in restraint. I have been hiding and out stretched for too long, Though you tore it out of me and urged me to be strong, I have tried with all my will to no longer be stuck glued to
a standstill, So I grasped to your extended hand, I jumped and took that chance. I’m sore and tired of what it’s all been like, Because I’ve only seen it stained black and white. And when all their words hurt and stung, You told me don’t give up, life’s only begun. Take my hand once again, and erase what has only been pain, Thank you for being my umbrella in the pouring rain. You are my only dream. © 2013 AnnaAuthor's Note
