Lonely Pine TreeA Poem by LCurious? Go on and read it.One late night
with stars shining bright up in the sky A pine tree
stood so still with the wind blowing by The wind
although clear seemed like weightless chilling ice But the tree
did not complain he thought it rather nice.
For the tree
I'll have you know would stand there day by day With nothing
else to do but to think his time away And while he
stood and thought the sun would shine oh so bright So all he'd
ever think about was day tuning into night
The years went
by and all the tree could think about was this The sun should
go away for him he'd surely never miss It made his
needles brown and they'd all leave him there behind They'd fall
away and tumble down towards the chilly ground
The sun had
woken up one day and on the earth he'd shone But as he felt
the pine trees wrath he realized what he'd done The sun could
feel his heart was now breaking into three He'd never want
to hurt the tree so he'd just leave him be.
The tree had
now enjoyed what was a sunless chilly night The sun would
soon wake up and spoil all the trees delight But as he
waited for the warmth that'd fill up every day The tree began
to realize that he'd scared the sun away.
Pure happiness
had lightened up the pine trees bitter heart The sun had
gone and everything could go back to the start The needles
that had left him would come back and they'd all stay He knew that
this would truly be a bright and happy day
But never would
the day be bright and happy ever more The needles all
continued to lay on the forest floor So now the tree
had neither all it's needles nor the sun And nothing
could he do to make his life a little fun
Day by day the
tree would stand in darkness all alone no one to keep
him company or listen to him moan The tree had
never liked the sun and always just complained So now he had
no friends at all and nothing had he gained.
