Oak Wind

Oak Wind

A Poem by JustMe

The forest that he knew became drier than his heart.

Like the tears that washed away his memories

Like the fear that broke through his heart

Sure of himself, that he in uncertain of life's surprises.

He can only hope for the better.

But he sees the downward slope to the valley lost.

No one can pull him out.

This he is sure.

This he is certain.

The wind shows mercy to none.
