Rude Awakening- the life of a dreamer

Rude Awakening- the life of a dreamer

A Poem by Jack Knoxville
"

Being broke sucks. Reality is worse.

"
I get so lost inside of my own head
this world that I've created
inside
my mind
It's hard to describe
the grip that it has,
hard to leave
this place that I've created
where I'm on top of this golden empire
the walls built from wisdom
the currency being truth
the bitter growl of the trashman's truck
reminding me that it's just a myth and I still need a job.
