Alchemy

Alchemy

A Poem by JennaMarie
"

...

"
I am a soulless being
Just an empty shell
Slithering about,
Looking, searching for salvation.

I am a featureless face,
Hands outstretched and grasping
Choking on air and
Drowning in the world.

Others turn away in shame
Knowing I was created from their filth.
A golem, not created from mud or clay,
But of human suffering and wretchedness.

The shadows I create grow and shift,
Pulse and undulate,
Capture and kill.

Everything I am is
Eternal, yet feels fleeting
Like sand doomed to spend forever
Falling through an hourglass.

I am no one's mother.
I am no one's child.
Just a dream,
Discarded in the dust.

Perfect sync between your thoughts and what is really happening. This was so powerful and righteous. Perfect.

This is a beautiful poem! It flows so effortlessly yet with so much dignity and grace despite the bitter emotions depicted. It's poignantly penned and I admire your style. Kudos & Love
