Different girl in the mirror

Different girl in the mirror

A Poem by Jamie
"

Story of a young girl facing the difficulty of depression and doesn't know how she ended up like this. This is a very relatable story for a lot of people.

"
I look into the mirror and what do I see?
A completely different girl starring at me.
She has those vicious eyes, I never used to have.
She's got cuts, on her thighs and on her calves.
I can barely see her face, it's hiding behind her hair.
Those scars on her wrists, how does she bare?
Her nails are painted black.
She looks like she's going to hack.
Her spine sticking out from her back.
She starves herself from snacks.
She goes to get the knife.
She hopes this time it will end her life.
I'm starring in the mirror but I don't see me.
This isn't the way that I used to be.
What happened? How did I lose it all?
How I ended up like this, I don't recall.
It was only the imperfections I saw.
This will be my fatal flaw.
