My Darling

My Darling

A Poem by While the blossoms still cling

Here you are, all grown up
But you still have that full cup
Brimming with regret and pain
You find yourself carrying a mental cane
Wishing to start a new life
But, my darling, put down that knife

I like this poem. A lot of mystery hidden in the statements. I like the use of language and the very strong ending. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

"You find yourself carrying a mental cane," this is a very creative line. So much power in this poem! Great job!
