The Night / What is Unknown is Not Always to be Feared

The Night / What is Unknown is Not Always to be Feared

A Poem by Just Call Me Moon

Eerie silence.

The sudden piercing howl

Of the wolf.

Joined by a symphony of howls, nature’s tune.

Song of the night.

The moon casts its silvery shadow

Upon the frosted ground.

Upon the pelts of the denizens of the night.

In the shadows lurks

Faded memories.

Things forgotten long ago, gone undisturbed for centuries.

Slumbering.

Waiting.

The stars shine above,

Shimmering, etheric, beauty incarnate

But even stars die.

Is what we see, just what is left of these majestic celestial creations

Have they too died?

Everything dies.

The darkness, death even

So often feared

People fear what they do not know

I say,

Embrace it.

Embrace the peace, solitude, and clarity the night can bring.

For fear has no place here

In the timeless domain

Beneath the stars, the luminescent moon.

With the cries of the wild, the free

All around.

Embrace it I say,

Embrace the unknown.

Timelessly Beautiful Ink! =) I love the power and the message you weave into your words and bring to the reader as if it's a gift, weaving into our souls carried upon the winds. Very Nice! Two Thumbs Up!
