Maybe One Day

Maybe One Day

A Poem by AustinDanielSmith

I was at a flea market the other day
I saw an old .44
75 dollars, the price tag read
I looked in my wallet
And only had a 20 dollar bill
I thought,
"I'm too broke to even take the quick way out"
I walked out of the market,
To my car
I drove to a gas station
Bought some cheap wine
A pack of Marlboro Reds
I thought
"The slow way it is"
