Weeping Angel

Weeping Angel

A Poem by JustAlex

The angel stand upon the earth

where once was birth

broken and torned

torned and shattered

shattered and fallen

Weeping angel

the hour grows tired and looses all form,
a whirlwind in silence -
heart takes the throne
sees how she bleeds her gentle soul
in the deepest chasms of its saline love

The heart aches within the breast

what a pummeled mess  -

weeping angel, tears of crimson red

how gold is so shallow to her touch

soil is dust

her skin tethered, scorned

oceans feel so hard -

like a stone

she stands on broke lands

wishing...

she changes her 'Coarse, tearing in breath
a discomforting illusion 'round flesh
licking deep the faithful divulging
in solar bed-

Angel down

Angel, stand upon the earth

where once was birth -

broken and torned

torned and shattered

shattered and fallen

wishing

' If only...'

You bring about this transformation so well, from beauty to horror and sorrow. It did remind me of Doctor Who and the haunted scenes of weeping angels. So good to be back!

Doctor Who: “That which holds the image of an angel itself becomes an angel.”

This was really good, but in the first stanza when you say torned, it would actually be torn. There are a few spelling errors here and there, but don't mind me, I livve to correct people :-)

ok... I gotta hand it to ya... I was expecting it to be a predictable idea behind clever wording... But you did the exact opposite... It's plain wording for a beautiful and ethereal emotion and point in time... So like I said.. You got my Vote for president :)

i agree with the girl below me. You managed to vividly paint a picture sprawling with emotion. It's a very deep and thoughtful piece of work and you deserve more credit for it than i can give. good job
