FocusA Poem by Jupiter JazzNothing distracts a writer from writing
The room is quiet. The light is dim. The windows are open, Letting cool air in. Music flows from outside, And children's laughter. Dogs bark in time, To the parents banter. Papers are scattered, Books are spread. One cat goes fishing, While the other yowls to be fed. The teapot whistles, The fire crackles. Moths gather, While birds heckle. But all noise is lost, On the man doing his will, As the only sound he hears, Is the scratching of his quill © 2011 Jupiter JazzReviews |
