To Be AliveA Poem by Donald EugeneA Poem about us humans...enjoy!
-We are extinct but we remain alive in the dust. We are memories but receed back in time we have left giant paw prints in wet sand the erosion can no longer cover us we are in the sound waves can't you hear the olde song? "Heaven is at our feet" You let it in Passing you by graying your hair and dulling your eyes. Drinking from the earth, calling out to the shore. We are not old and we have not died young, but silently Like the clapping thunder in the evening sky's void. We are the living- through the clicking chime of the grand father clock. Bellowing, Bellowing, Bellowing Until time is set in silence an awful peace and calm soft earth stirred No voice. After the storm we Quite. no longer being heard by the talking of the Dead. © 2008 Donald EugeneAuthor's Note
