Don't you hate that person you were 3 or 4 years ago, today? You made choices you wish you'd never had made, took wrong turns and walked into walls, sometimes you didn't even realize you were making mistakes, and when you did you thought you thought you would drop dead and the world would end, right there.

But the irony is that those thoughts, memories and ideas make up what you are right now. You would never have evolved into the person you are without the growth you made 4 years ago. Not without the growth 4 months, weeks, days, hours, or minutes ago. Your decisions are who you are, and you can never take them back.

Many people view the fact you can never undo past mistakes as a negative, and at the moment, it seems like they are a negative. Some people never stop viewing them as a negative. Mistakes feel like blades against your skin when you make them, and in actuality, they are. Blades carving you into the sculpture of the person you are today. Without them, you remain blank, dull, empty. Without mistakes, you are nothing.

Why don't you take a deep breath for me? Enjoy the air around you, because it's easy to take for granted. Enjoy every second of being who you are, admire yourself. Even if you think you look disgusting, that doesn't effect what I'm telling you to do. Admire the person that you've spent your entire life building. Admire your strengths, and your weaknesses, admire everything you hate about yourself, because without it you wouldn't have turned into the person you are today. Just for a second, imagine everything about yourself, good or bad, is beautiful.
