One of a kind

One of a kind

A Poem by Julissa Pena
"

my emotions werent truly as exaggerated as it seems in this poem but i have to draw inspiration from somewhere am i right? also disregard my grammar i could care less

"
I don't know what you're doing
you are truly confusing me here
something unfathomable, I thought impossible
your old self reappeared

to others I am crazy
they said you stayed the same
but I knew what you once were
I was once trapped in that gaze
you were sweet, amazing, kind
filled with so much love I thought it was a sign
but once our era was over
once we had to move on
you somehow grew bitter
you who I knew were gone
I could only withstand for a while
your words underliningly vile
so I took a step back
I declared you dead
but once again you made it inside my head
how dare you be so nice
how dare you be so kind
last I knew
we were done
you werent mine
my mind and my heart aren't one of a kind
they break with your games
they wallow in pain
they either strengthen or break in with time
can you guess what you've done to mine?

We don't choose whom we love, just whom we like. Seems a "place" way too many continue to visit...
