The Lost Poem

The Lost Poem

A Poem by Beka
"

I wrote this a long time ago...But it was lost in my room and when I finally found it a mouse had gotten a hold of it so some of the words are missing....

"

You sat

Limp and broken

With

Thoughts jumbles

Like alphabet soup,

My ears failed to hear your

hastely uttered

apologies

excuses

But my eyes were fixated

on eyes that melted my heart.

Robins egg blue...

Wordless, I collapsed beside you,

Taking your hand

As you had mine so may times,

And with our color all outside the lines

We loved

and learned to forget to talk.

Please keep in mind that I had to improvise and I couldn't quite figure out what I was saying so I think it's less amazing.

I LOVE the line about blue robin egg eyes! I won't forget that any time soon!

I guess the mouse was quite a dork, and had a terrible taste for words as I don't see anything missing or as such. :)). A lovely simple and romantic poem... Very good indeed. Cheers :))
