Dead is me

Dead is me

A Poem by JulieNorell
"

Just a poem :P

"

Tell the world when I’m gone,

That I had to go sometime.

Let my heart soar through the air,

And bask in sunshine.

Leave my eyes open to the stars,

So I can feel their brilliance.

In my hand place some flowers,

So I can smell them.

Leave a kiss, soft and sweet, upon my cheek,

So I can have your memory with me.

Death is sweet,

Death is peaceful,

Dead is me.

Tell the world when I’m gone,

To let me float away.

Make a mound of burning flames,

And lay me in it.

Read my secrets to the world,

And release me.

Cut a lock of my brown curls,

To remember.

Never let your tears fall,

In the water.

Death is sweet…

Death is peaceful…

Dead is me.

This reminds me of the song If I die young by the band Perry. It's beautiful!

very imaginative, and beautiful expression. though very dark, death fills up so much of the world, sometimes it overtakes us and our spirits as well.
