![]() LunarFlower of First LoveA Story by JulieNorell![]() Just a simple love story...Nothing more...Nothing less.![]() Walking…Walking…..Walking I am walking through the trees. The moonlight shines in slanting beams. Illuminating nature. My dress drags behind me as I reach our beach. The white sand slides under my feet, between my toes. The water gleams, sea green, as it should be. The small beach has cattails here and there. I sit, plucking away at flower petals. The soft pink petals fall into the water and float away, reminding me of our fleeting love; it comes it goes then suddenly sinks deep into our hearts. You emerge from the deep forest. Your dark hair falls into your eyes hiding their beautiful blue from me. I stand and walk delicately towards you and sweep it aside. Your hands are shaking as they pull me in for a deep embrace. My smile is a mile wide, as I pull away from you. Your lips are tight with aggravation. I ask what is wrong. You shake your head and look away. I put my finger under your chin and pull your attention back to me. You kiss me so suddenly, I gasp. Then, slowly, you drop to your knee and pull out a ring. It is Large, made of vines coated with a preservative. Where usually there would be a diamond, there is the Lunar flower I gave you after that first sweet kiss. The flower only bloomed for one night, but you saved it. It is in perfect form, frozen at its full glory. The words leave your lips and I just throw my arms around you. Yes, my love, I will be yours, forever. Walking…Walking…Walking…Into my future with you. © 2011 JulieNorellReviews
