Wanting It AllA Poem by Julie Dant
Wanting It All
I love you. I want you.
I want you to love me I want you to need me above all others I want you to think of me in all your quiet periods.
I want to be right there behind your eyes, Attach myself to your retinas so that when you are walking in a woods you are seeing it through my eyes also.
I want to be right there in your heart Pillow myself so that wherever you are it will swell with such loving fullness that you might think it could burst with the joy of it.
I want to be right there in your brain Embed myself so that I am there at the forefront of your mind at all times and you will feel such peacefulness knowing of my residence.
I want to be right there upon your skin Apply myself as a soothing balm so that when you pass your hand over any portion of your body I will feel your touch and know it’s gentleness.
I will love you until the end of all that we will ever know. Unconditionally.
