I DRANK YOU

I DRANK YOU

I Drank You

I've been craving your sweetness
I drank you melted into my coffee this morning.
And carried you with me all the day long.
I can feel you there swimming gently in my head.
All the time...every stroke in every instant.
I need to know if I am in yours.
Can you hear me breathing?
Can you feel the tiny flicker of my tongue
along the outer rim of your ear?
Shhhhh..hush..hush... Listen....
There! Can you hear me whispering?
My breath is damp and warm..can you feel it?
Oh, ...if only you could feel it.....

"Melted in to my coffee" suggests a part of the other
that will be a part of you and will saturate every thing
you touch, every thought you have.
Some person is incredibly fortunate to have this degree
of devotion, love and rapture associated with their
sense of warmth, scent and nearness to the writer.
A sensual, yet visual poem, an excellent rendition of
emotion.
Great writing !
My Favorite.

To taste but never feel. Wonderful comparison and choice of words. Taste, in this poem, refers to feeling. A unique representation of emotions.
