Lost in My Wildness

Lost in My Wildness

A Poem by MsJewel

I loosen my hair, setting it free,

and just like that…

                        I’m free

to catch the warm whisper of the wind

Free as the rustling leaves up above

stirring the birds, sweetly…the sound

Lost in my wildness, like a stream of fresh water

nourishing an ever-increasing thirst for all of life’s vigor

But it goes deeper than that

I’m not fighting against time

but longing for a life to flow clean,

            with passion

                        like poetry

Hungering to live among the wanders, the travelers, the poets

Surrendering everything

to create a life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in my imagination

Call me a tramp,

            or a gypsy

But I’m not looking for anything

                                    nor am I aimless

My aims are just different than most

Lost in my wildness

                          My lover is calling,

                                                    but I’m not answering

It starts off giving the impression of a woman, experiencing a wild and invigorating outdoor environment; embracing and almost seeming at one with it. Then, at the very end; there is a gesture of defiance. When in the last line, she refuses to answer the call of her lover; preferring to be lost in nature's arms instead...

dear Ms. Jewel… I am Hungarian and we are Gypsies by Nature. The music 🎶 of the Blue Danube as it flows.. gives me the sounds of 🎻 Violins and Wild Waltz’s become my Romantic Persuasion. I am thrilled to meet you Once again as Moonbeams shine in your Poetry…. Softly, Pat

Oh.. how l love this. I often wish l could just get in my truck and drive with no specific destination, but take time to stop when l desired, see what l want and let that wild wind entangle my thoughts.
My soul wants to be that wanderer your poem speaks of, my heart feals every word.

This is the Julie l ❤️

Good to read you again

I really love this poem. We all search for something. But those that think outside the box have a better chance at finding it.

"with passion, like poetry", what a stunning line! I will call you "gypsy", not as an aimless roamer, but as a wild wind disturbing everything you touch with "passion". Your dreams written in your poetry, has certainly stirred me, thank you. -Curt

Gee
I wonder if there are folk out there who are lucky enough to realise all of their dreams and get to leave this world with no regrets.
I would love to have had the balls, when younger, to have packed a bag and took off to who knows where to do who knows what.
Enjoyed reading your words, good morning
