MonstersA Poem by MsJewel~ some inspiration from Stephen King ~
I trusted him He knew the trust of the innocent is a liar’s
most useful tool Perhaps he just rose from bed on the
wrong side as if challenging fate Or could it be the mind of a madman is a dark maze of
intensity Passion, anger, euphoria, control With an insatiable hunger, fueled by the
moment His to possess, to enjoy until it’s time for the next one Regardless, he wore his wickedness as smile mine ran away from my face a smarter woman would have followed (I plan to think about this later) But innocence can be deceiving Once tempted by the fruits of one’s own
mind, by the ache deep within that once touched must be touched again and again And pretty faces don’t always have
pretty intentions Dine with the devil, reservations at 7 Serving youth and desire for
appetizers…souls for dessert Lucifer winked so not to witness the hem of my skirt riding
up just enough to keep him distracted "Yes, monsters are real They
live inside of us Sometimes
they win" Stephen King I laugh to myself now when
I think of him © 2018 MsJewelAuthor's Note
