So Long FebruaryA Poem by MsJewel~writing on a rainy February afternoon - wishing for spring~
painting by So long February… To short days and left-over winter nights To lonely afternoons wandering the deserted shore searching for a seabirds song to replace the pitter patter of rain serenading my umbrella Goodbye to 28 days of a cold nose and colder toes 29 on a leap year Except of course on that one day
dedicated to love when everything is
warm and fuzzy I’ll remember you when spring is here and the flowers in the window box bloom in pastel shades under marshmallow cream clouds stirring confetti skies The sun blushing my cheeks I’ll think of you and smile when my umbrella is tucked safely away in the hall closet behind my rain galoshes and the bright yellow rain coat I never returned to Macy’s So long February I’ll keep you forever wrapped in red paper hearts and a half eaten box of Godiva
chocolates… © 2018 MsJewelFeatured Review
