I really enjoy this poem, I love the hyperbole of the last love poem, I love the importance it gives itself to say that the object of the speakers affection would be it, the absolute last. You have a lovely way with words, and I like your word placement. Well done!
Soft, gentle and amazing words for love.
"Yes, if this were the last love poem ever written
it would be for you…
and the rain"
I liked the above lines dear Julie. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

So simple yet so beautiful. When I read the title, I didn't know what the poem would be about, but as I read, I couldn't help but be swept away by your wonderful words. I love how the title tricks the reader into thinking it's quite literally your last love poem (but I knew that couldn't be so) but the piece itself builds on that in an unexpected way. I also like the subtle symbolism in how the falling rain represents the beauty of falling in love. Lovely work!
This is a romantic tangle of imagery that feels like it's tumbling & dripping along thru the revelations. When I read the title, quite honestly, I was wondering what ambitious statement this might be? I mean, the set-up is such that we expect something very "TA!DA!" But then this playful sensuous scrambled little ditty spills out & makes much more sense than any high-minded love pronouncement could be! You help teach me about being purposefully inadvertent.
I've been writing poetry for 15 years. My poetry isn't unique in any way, but it is written from the heart.
I have trouble keeping up with everyone's poetry, so please send me rr's.
