Silk and Lace

Silk and Lace

A Poem by MsJewel
"

A spanish seteset or sextilla

~~~
Pillows of silk, whispers of lace
and with the dawn gently I trace
the tenderness of your touch dear
Soft as the curve of you and I
warm as the sun rose in the sky
light as a breath, you held me near
Two hearts tethered in harmony
delicate threads surrounding me
in the rapture of your embrace
Every secret exposed and gone
nothing between us, floating on
pillows of silk, whispers of lace
~~~

Author's Note

MsJewel
The sextilla, or Spanish sestet, is a type of sestet (6-line verse) that follows a set rhyme pattern, and each line has 8 syllables. The rhyme pattern can be either aabccb or abbacc, but you must use the same rhyme pattern if more than one sestet is used in the poem.

Honestly if i say, yes, true it's to admit, I never get this "syllables" thing. It's been so many years i'm into literature but still i only worth the quality of words and the depth of its meaning. And, yes.. you got both. Gracious. Cheers to Sextilla. Cheers to your quality. And cheers to that half naked woman in the pic who tryna seduce me well.
